Lunch and Learn, May 2016–register now!

Please join the Charlotte Shapers in a discussion about public art in Charlotte!

How often do you notice the wonderful sculptures, murals, and other public art installations in the city and wonder how they get made?

We will hear from Matt Hooker, local public artist, and Kati Stegall, Program Director for the Art in Transit project with the Charlotte Area Transit System about how public art is created and implemented.  Matt and Kati will offer their unique perspectives on the importance of public art in our community and what to look for in the future.

This Lunch and Learn will take place at the Discovery Place Education Studio on Friday, May 13th from 11:30-1:00.  The Education Studio is located at 300 N. Poplar St in uptown.  Please note, this is not at the main Discovery Place center, but a few blocks away on Poplar in between 6th and 7th across from 4th Ward Park.  Parking will be validated if you park in the Discovery Place parking deck.

Lunch will be provided and the discussions will begin at 12:00.

Please RSVP here.
