Davida Jackson is a dedicated media professional, digital media strategist, author, educator, student, and community-builder. Davida brings more than a decade of broadcast experience to her current positions as a News Producer at News14 Carolina and core instructor at the Carolina School of Broadcasting. She also founded Called2Connect which is a social media marketing company that helps businesses build digital relationships. Davida co-authored the book ‘Community 2.0’ where she discusses bridging the digital divide through the use of QR (quick-response codes).
She is pursuing her master’s degree in Organizational and Strategic Communication at Queens University of Charlotte. Davida is frequently asked to speak at workshops about digital media literacy.
Davida is passionate about building better communities. She freely shares her breadth of knowledge in media, marketing and digital strategies to help churches, non-profits and budding start-ups reach the community. She has served on several boards and volunteered with various community-based organizations since she moved to Charlotte in 2008. Currently, she serves on the board of directors for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Access Corporation. Davida is always looking for opportunities to impact and change lives.
